PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

The power tilt and power telescopic steering column system uses the multiplex communication system, so check its diagnostic system before proceeding to troubleshooting.
The table below will be useful in troubleshooting these electrical systems. The numbered suspect areas indicate the likelihood of the cause in descending order. Inspect each part in the order shown, and replace if found faulty.

- If the instruction "Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on the chart" is given in the flow chart on the following pages, proceed to the circuit with the next highest number in the table to continue the check.
- If the problem still occurs even though there is no abnormality in the related circuits, check and replace the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
