Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
Fuel Filter:
PURPOSE Remove particles from fuel that may cause component damage and/or clog fuel passages.
LOCATION Right side engine compartment. A filter screen on fuel pump inlet removes larger particles.
OPERATION System is designed so that fuel passes through filter before reaching injection components on engine.
CONSTRUCTION Metal canister with paper filter element.
