Bulletin No: 09-026/10
Last Issued: 06/01/2010

Subject
RATTLE NOISE FROM FRONT DOOR

APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS

2009-2010 Mazda6 vehicles produced before July 27, 2009

DESCRIPTION

When the audio volume (especially the bass volume) is relatively loud, some vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from around the front door speaker(s). The noise may be caused by the vibration of a rubber (B) one-way valve (A) installed on the bottom of the front door.

A modified one-way valve (B) has been introduced into mass-production to eliminate this concern.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Open front door and locate three (3) one-way valves at the bottom of the door.

3. Pull to remove the rubber (A) portions from each of the one-way valves. Discard all the rubber portions.

4. Repeat Steps 2~3 on the other front door.

5. Verify repair.
