A/C Compressor Control
• The A/C signal from the thermistor controls the magnetic clutch via the PCM, A/C relay and refrigerant pressure switch.
Block Diagram
• The PCM controls an A/C signal to the A/C compressor based on signals sent from the A/C switch and evaporator temperature sensor.
A/C Signal on/off Control
• The thermistor turns the A/C signal (magnetic clutch) on and off based on the temperature of the air passing through the evaporator when the A/C is on. This keeps the evaporator surface temperature within the specified range, preventing the evaporator from freezing while the A/C switch is turned on.
