1. Measure the piston-to-cylinder clearance. Replace the piston or rebore the cylinders to fit the oversized piston if necessary.

Standard piston clearance

0.071—0.089 mm {0.0015—0.0022 in}

Maximum piston clearance

0.15 mm {0.0059 in}

2. If the piston is replaced, the piston rings must also be replaced.
