DETECTION CONDITION
|
• If the engine switch is turned off while the engine is running, and the decrease in engine speed is 200 rpm or less for 2 seconds after the engine switch is turned off, the PCM determines that the fuel cut solenoid valve has a malfunction.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Fuel cut solenoid valve malfunction
• Short to power circuit between fuel injection pump connector A terminal J and PCM terminal 4W
• PCM malfunction

Yes

Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
• If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY CURRENT SIGNAL STATUS: IS CONCERN INTERMITTENT OR CONSTANT?
• Clear the DTC.
• Start the engine.
• Turn the engine switch to the off position and wait for 2 seconds or more, then turn it back ON (Engine off).
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Intermittent concern exists.
Perform the “INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING”.

|
INSPECT FUEL CUT SOLENOID VALVE CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER
• Inspect the voltage between fuel injection pump connector A terminal J and body ground.
• Is the voltage B+?

Yes
|
Repair or replace wiring harness, then go to Step 5.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT FUEL CUT SOLENOID VALVE
• Perform fuel cut solenoid valve inspection.
• Is the fuel cut solenoid valve normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the fuel cut solenoid valve, then go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1182 COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory.
• Start the engine.
• Is the same the DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
• Is there any DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [WL-3].)

No
|
