• The engine runs after engine switch is turned to the off position.
|
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Fuel cut solenoid valve malfunction.
|

• Run the engine at idle speed.
• Disconnect the fuel cut solenoid valve connector.
• Make sure the engine stops.
• Does the engine stop?

Yes
|
Inspect for the following:
• Short to power line between the engine switch and fuel cut solenoid valves
Inspect the circuit between the fuel cut solenoid valve and PCM terminal 4W.
Repair or replace the wiring harness.

|
Check the fuel cut solenoid valve is stuck open.

• Verify the test results. If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
