•  There are two intake valves and one exhaust valve per cylinder head.

•  The intake and exhaust valves are different. The two intake valves are interchangeable.

•  The intake and exhaust valve springs are the same, and are unequal pitch type. They are installed with the narrow pitch toward the cylinder head.

•  The intake and exhaust valve spring seats (upper and lower) are interchangeable.

•  The valve guides are different for intake and exhaust. There is a relief in the exhaust valve guide where the guide protrudes into the exhaust port to prevent carbon build-up. As replacement parts for servicing, only the exhaust valve guide is available. It is used for both the intake and exhaust sides.

•  The valve seals are the same for intake and exhaust.

•  The valve keepers for the intake and exhaust valves are both fixed (non-floating) type.
