•  The throttle body, which controls intake air amount, consists of a throttle valve and bypass system to supply small amounts of air while the engine is idling.
•  Included with the throttle body is a throttle position (TP) sensor for detecting the throttle valve opening and a closed throttle position (CTP) switch to detect the throttle valve closed throttle position.
•  Also, a bypass air control (BAC) valve is installed on the throttle body to ensure idle smoothness.
