FUEL EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM FUNCTION [F2]
id011694157500
• The fuel evaporative system prevents evaporative gas from escaping into the atmosphere.
• Evaporative gas generated in the fuel tank is stored in the charcoal canister temporarily, and then introduced to the intake-air system for combustion while the engine is running.
• Air/fuel ratio gets worse when a great amount of fuel evaporative gas is introduced to the intake-air system at one time. Because of this, the fuel evaporative system operates the purge solenoid valve according to the signals from the PCM and controls the amount of fuel evaporative gas introduced to the intake-air system.
