Control outline

•  To obtain the optimum purge control, the PCM operates the purge solenoid valve by converting the target purge flow amount calculated by the engine conditions into the purge solenoid valve operation time.

Purge solenoid valve operation time

•  The operation time of the purge solenoid valve is determined by adding corrections to the basic purge flow.
•  The basic purge flow is required according to engine speed and charging efficiency. The higher the engine speed is and the larger the charging efficiency is, the larger the basic purge flow becomes.

Operation
