Continuity inspection

Note

•  Perform the following test only when directed.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Disconnect the neutral switch connector.

3.  Measure the continuity between the neutral switch terminals 2A and 1A.

•  If not as specified, replace the neutral switch.

•  If there is no malfunction, but PID value is out of specification, inspect for the following:

Transmission	Continuity
In neutral	Yes
Others	No

Open Circuit

•  Load/no load distinction circuit (neutral switch connector terminal 2A and PCM connector terminal 1V through common connector)

•  GND circuit (neutral switch connector terminal 1A and GND)

Short Circuit

•  Load/no load distinction circuit (neutral switch connector terminal 2A and PCM connector terminal 1V through common connector to GND)

Clutch Switch

•  Repair or switch operation and related harness continuity

4.  Repair or replace faulty areas.

5.  Reconnect the neutral switch connector.
