FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT

1. Position the vehicle on level ground.

2. Remove the oil-fill plug.

3. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.

4. Install the drain plug with a new washer and tighten.

Tightening torque

39.2—53.9 N·m {4.00—5.49 kgf·m, 29.0—39.7 ft·lbf}

5. Add the specified oil through the oil-fill plug hole.

Front differential oil [G6, WLT-1, WLT-2]

Type: API service GL-5

Viscosity (above -18 °C {0 °F}): SAE 90

Viscosity (below -18 °C {0 °F}): SAE 80

Oil capacity (approx. quantity): 1.4—1.6 L {1.5—1.6 US qt, 1.3—1.4 lmp qt}

Front differential oil [WL-C, WE-C (Except Russia)]

Type: API service GL-5

Viscosity (above -18 °C {0 °F}): SAE 90

Viscosity (below -18 °C {0 °F}): SAE 80

Oil capacity (approx. quantity): 1.8—2.0 L {2.0—2.1US qt, 1.6—1.7 lmp qt}

Front differential oil [WL-C, WE-C (Russia)]

Type: API service GL-5

Viscosity: SAE 75W-90, SAE 80W-90

Oil capacity (approx. quantity): 1.8—2.0 L {2.0—2.1US qt, 1.6—1.7 lmp qt}

6. After adding the oil, perform the oil level inspection.

7. Install the oil-fill plug with a new washer and tighten.

Tightening torque
