1. Oil leakage from transfer diagnostics

Worn or defective oil seal

  • Replace the oil seal.

Loose filler plug and drain plug

  • Tighten the filler plug and drain plug.

Defective filler plug O-ring and drain plug O-ring

  • Replace the O-ring.

Excessive transfer oil

  • Correct the oil level.

Clogged breather hose

  • Clean the breather hose.

Cracked transfer case

  • Replace the transfer case.

Defective liquid gasket seal applied to the transfer rear cover

  • Reapply liquid gasket.
