1. MAF and IAT sensor inspection
1. Visual inspection
1) Inspect the MAF and IAT sensor for the following.
- Damaged sensor section
- Dirty sensor section
- Broken terminal
- Bent terminal
Caution
- The sensor detection parts are between 170°C {338°F} and 300°C {572°F} when energized, so do not touch them.
- Do not allow solvents, lubricants, etc., to come in contact with the detecting part of the sensor.
2. Resistance measurement
1) Measure the resistance between terminals 4 and 5 of the IAT sensor using a DMM.
