1. Models with hydraulic power steering units

1) The oil pressure of the power steering oil pump is low.

  • Repair the power steering oil pump.

2) Insufficient power steering fluid

  • Refill the fluid.

2. Models with electric power steering units

1) Overheat prevention control

  • Do not operate the steering wheel until the electric power steering unit temperature decreases.

2) Cut harness, disconnected connector, etc.

  • Replace the harness or inspect the connector.

3) EPS motor control unit malfunction

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
  • If the symptom is not corrected, replace the electric power steering unit.

4) Torque sensor malfunction

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
  • If the symptom is not corrected, replace the electric power steering unit.
