Tightening torque

3: 14 to 18 N・m { 1.4 to 1.8 kgf・m / 10 to 13 lb・ft }

19: 6 to 8 N・m { 0.6 to 0.8 kgf・m / 53 to 71 lb・in }

2. Rear wheel cylinder reassembly

1) Clean each part.

Note

  • In cleaning the wheel cylinder parts, make sure to use clean brake fluid.

Caution

  • Do not use cleaning agents consisting of mineral oil components such as gasoline, kerosene, acetone, thinner, carbon tetrachloride, etc.

Note

  • Use air to clean the ports.

2) Check part surfaces for dust or foreign material.

3) Apply brake fluid to the inside of the piston.

4) Install the piston cup to the piston.

Note

  • Install so that the open side of the piston cup faces the inside of the piston.

Caution

  • Do not mistake the direction of the cup.
  • Do not reuse the piston cup.

5) Install the return spring to the cylinder body.

6) Apply brake fluid to the inside of the boot.

7) Referring to the diagram, apply rubber grease to the boot.

8) Install the boot to the piston.

Caution

  • Do not reuse the boot.

9) Install the bleeder screw to the cylinder body.

Tightening torque: 6 to 8 N・m { 0.6 to 0.8 kgf・m / 53 to 71 lb・in }

10) Install the cap to the bleeder screw.
