1. Center pull handle specifications

1) Install the tail gate lock striker to the rear body.

Tightening torque: 15 N・m { 1.5 kgf・m / 11 lb・ft }

2) Install the tail gate hinge to the tail gate and rear body.

Tightening torque: 25 N・m { 2.5 kgf・m / 18 lb・ft } Bolt A

Tightening torque: 27 N・m { 2.8 kgf・m / 20 lb・ft } Bolts B, C

Legend

3) Check the points in the following diagram for the tail gate and rear body.

Dimensions

a. Clearance: 5.0 mm {0.20 in}

b. Height, level difference: Same flush surface

c. Height, level difference: Same flush surface

4) Install the tail gate link to the tail gate and rear body.

Tightening torque: 29 N・m { 3.0 kgf・m / 21 lb・ft }

5) Install the tail gate lock to the tail gate.

Tightening torque: 15 N・m { 1.5 kgf・m / 11 lb・ft }

6) Install the outside handle to the tail gate.

Tightening torque: 9.0 N・m { 0.9 kgf・m / 80 lb・in }

7) Connect the lock link.

8) Install the hole cover to the tail gate.

2. Side lock handle specification

1) Install the tail gate hinge to the tail gate and rear body.

Tightening torque: 25 N・m { 2.5 kgf・m / 18 lb・ft } Bolt A

Tightening torque: 27 N・m { 2.8 kgf・m / 20 lb・ft } Bolt B, C
