28: 6.0 N・m { 0.6 kgf・m / 53 lb・in }

2. Starter motor reassembly

1) Assemble the snap ring and nut to the clutch.

Caution

  • Do not reuse the snap ring.

2) Assemble the clutch shaft and shift lever to the housing.

3) Assemble the planetary gear and seal.

4) Assemble the yoke, plate, and armature.

5) Assemble the brush holder.

6) Assemble the rear cover with the screw.

Tightening torque: 2 N・m { 0.2 kgf・m / 18 lb・in }

7) Assemble the housing with the through bolt.

Tightening torque: 6.0 N・m { 0.6 kgf・m / 53 lb・in }

8) Assemble the magnetic switch with the nut.

Tightening torque: 7.5 N・m { 0.8 kgf・m / 66 lb・in }

9) Assemble the connecting lead portion of the brush holder with the nut.

Tightening torque: 10 N・m { 1.0 kgf・m / 89 lb・in }
