When replacing the ECM, the vehicle data must be written into the new ECM.
The scan tool used for the replacement procedure must be the same from start to finish. If the scan tool is changed midway, information cannot be written correctly.
1) Connect the scan tool to the DLC.
2) Turn ON the ignition switch.
3) Select the scan tool item.
4) Program the vehicle identification number into the ECM by following the on-screen instructions.

5) After the programming is completed, turn the ignition switch OFF for 30 seconds.
If communication could not be established with the old ECM, do not perform the ECM data download.
Verify the vehicle specifications before performing the ECM data download.
1) Download the following data from the old ECM to the new ECM.
1) Turn ON the ignition switch.
2) Select the scan tool item.
3) Follow the directions on the screen and download the injector ID codes to the ECM.
4) After completing the download, turn OFF the ignition switch.
1) Select the scan tool item.
2) Download the vehicle speed correction data to the ECM by following the on-screen instructions.
3) After completing the download, turn OFF the ignition switch.
If the Injector ID Code download is performed, do not perform this procedure.
Check the label attached to the engine cover at the time of factory shipment or the housing of each injector for the Injector ID Code.
If verifying with the label, verify only if the injector has not been replaced in the past.

Perform the immobilizer function programming only for models with immobilizer.

4) Perform programming by following the on-screen instructions.

6) Verify that the engine starts with all the keys.

4) Perform ECU lock by following the on-screen instructions.

1) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
2) If a DTC is set, clear the DTC.
3) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds.
4) Turn ON the ignition switch.
5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
6) If a DTC is set, go to the applicable diagnosis.
