1. On-vehicle inspection

<Models with manual A/C>

1) Inspect whether air flow volume can be switched to the 4 levels between 1st and 4th when the fan speed control dial is operated.

2) Inspect for abnormal noise from the blower motor when operating the fan speed control dial.

Note

  • Clean if there is any dirt or foreign material.

<Models with auto A/C>

3) Inspect whether the air flow volume can be switched to one of 7 levels between 1st and 7th when the fan speed control switch is operated.

4) Inspect for abnormal noise from the blower motor when operating the fan speed control switch.

Note

  • Clean if there is any dirt or foreign material.

2. Voltage inspection

1) Measure the voltage between the blower motor connector terminal and the ground point using a DMM when the fan speed control switch or fan speed control dial is operated.

<Measurement conditions>

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The connector is connected.
  • Fan speed control dial 4th position and fan speed control switch 7th position
