Charge air cooler temperature sensor inspection (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. Charge air cooler temperature sensor inspection

The charge air cooler temperature sensor 2 is a thermistor-type sensor in which electric resistance decreases as temperature increases.

1. Visual inspection

1) Inspect charge air cooler temperature sensor 2 for the following.

  • Inspect for dirt and other foreign material attached to the sensor section.
  • Inspect for causes of poor connections such as collapsing or bending of the terminals.

2. Resistance measurement

1) Measure the resistance of charge air cooler temperature sensor 2 using a DMM.

Note

  • Replace charge air cooler temperature sensor 2 if the measured value is not the standard value.
