Audio control steering wheel switch removal

1. Driver airbag removal

Refer to "8.Restraints 8B.Airbag Systems driver airbag removal".

2. Steering wheel removal

1) Put the tires in a forward travel position.

2) Draw alignment marks on the steering wheel and steering shaft.

3) Remove the nut from the steering shaft.

4) Remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft using the special tool.

Caution

  • The steering wheel should never be removed using a hammer or tool that causes shock.

The steering wheel is designed to absorb impact.

3. Audio control steering wheel switch removal

1) Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel.

Legend

  1. Steering wheel cover

2) Disconnect the connector from the audio control steering wheel switch.

3) Remove the audio control steering wheel switch from the steering wheel.
