Engine oil replacement (4JJ3 with DPD)

1) Remove the drain plug from the oil pan, and drain the engine oil to a pan.

2) Install the drain plug to the oil pan.

Tightening torque: 44 N・m { 4.5 kgf・m / 32 lb・ft }

1) Replenish the engine with the engine oil.

2) Check the tightening of the oil pan drain plug.

Tightening torque: 44 N・m { 4.5 kgf・m / 32 lb・ft }

After changing the engine oil, reset the ECM data.

1. When using a scan tool

1) Connect the scan tool to the DLC.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Select the scan tool item.

4) Perform Reset Oil Dilution by following the on-screen instructions.

5) After completing Reset Oil Dilution, turn OFF the ignition switch.

2. When not using a scan tool

Operate the MID screen to reset the oil change period.

1) Turn ON the ignition switch.

2) Select the maintenance setting item on the MID screen.

3) After completing the setting, turn OFF the ignition switch.
