1. Preliminary procedures

1) Open the engine hood.

2) Disconnect the battery cable from the battery negative terminal.

Caution

  • After turning OFF the ignition switch (power mode for models with passive entry and start system), do not disconnect the battery cable within 3 minutes.
  • If the battery cable is disconnected within 3 minutes, the vehicle electronic control system may malfunction.
  • If the battery cable is disconnected, perform the setting of the front door power window switch with AUTO UP/AUTO DOWN function after connecting the battery negative terminal.

2. Window regulator handle removal

1. Models without power windows

1) Remove the window regulator handle from the front door.

3. Front door power window switch removal

1. Models with power windows

1) Remove the armrest from the front door trim pad.

Note

  • The armrest for Australia cannot be disconnected completely from the front door trim pad.

For Australia

2) Remove the front door power window switch from the front door trim pad.

For Australia

3) Disconnect the connector from the front door power window switch.

4. Door mirror cover removal

1) Remove the door mirror cover from the front door.

5. Front door trim pad removal

1) Open the garnish and cover with a small flathead screwdriver, etc., and remove the screws.

2) Pull out the clips of the front door trim pad.

3) Remove the front door trim pad from the front door.

Models with power windows

Models without power windows

4) Disconnect the door lock cable from the inside lever.

6. Waterproof sheet removal

1) Remove the water proof sheet from the front door.

7. Key cylinder removal

1) Remove the cover from the front door.

2) Loosen the handle cap screw.

3) Remove the handle cap from the front door.

4) Remove the key cylinder from the handle cap.
