1. Oil pressure switch inspection
1. Continuity inspection
1) Inspect the continuity using a DMM.
Note
- Inspect between the switch terminal and the body ground without a load applied.
- Replace with a known good part if there is no continuity.
2. Inspection of circuit
1) Turn ON the ignition switch.
2) Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure switch.
3) Check that the oil pressure warning light turns off.
Note
- If it does not turn OFF, inspect the circuit between the instrument panel cluster and the oil pressure switch, and repair the short circuit.
4) Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector, and check that the oil pressure warning light lights when the harness side connector is connected to the ground.
Note
- If it does not illuminate, repair any open circuits between the instrument panel cluster and the oil pressure switch.
