1. Rear door lock inspection

1. Visual inspection

1) Inspect the rear door locks for the following.

  • Fouling
  • Corrosion
  • Deformation
  • Abnormal noise

2. On-vehicle inspection

1) Check that all doors lock when the driver side front door is locked from outside the vehicle using a key.

2) Check that all doors unlock when the driver side front door is unlocked from outside the vehicle using a key.

3) Check that all doors lock when the door lock knob of the driver side front door is operated to the lock side.

4) Check that all doors unlock when the door lock knob of the driver side front door is operated to the unlock side.

3. Voltage inspection

1) Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the connector terminals and the ground point when the driver side front door lock is operated.

Note

  • The standard voltage is input to the door lock motor only when the driver side front door lock is operated.

4. Continuity inspection

1) Using a DMM, inspect for continuity between the connector terminals when the door lock is operated.
