Improper tire air pressure

  • Adjust the air pressure.

Improper wheel alignment

  • Inspect the wheel alignment.

Power steering system malfunction

  • Inspect the power steering system.

Defective power steering unit ball joint

  • Replace the power steering unit ball joint.

When turning the steering wheel rapidly to the right and left, the operating force increases temporarily (Fluid leakage in the power steering unit).

  • Repair the power steering unit.

When turning the steering wheel rapidly to the right and left, the operating force increases temporarily (Insufficient power steering fluid).

  • Refill the fluid.

Insufficient tightening of the steering column

  • Repair or replace.

Overheat prevention control (Models with electric power steering units)

  • Do not operate the steering wheel until the electric power steering unit temperature decreases.

Cut harness, disconnected connector, etc. (Models with electric power steering units)

  • Replace the harness or inspect the connector.

EPS motor control unit malfunction (Models with electric power steering)

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
  • If the symptom is not corrected, replace the electric power steering unit.

Torque sensor malfunction (Models with electric power steering)

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
