Engine oil inspection (RZ4E-TC)

1. Engine oil inspection

Caution

  • Stop the vehicle on a flat surface and inspect before starting the engine or approx. 30 minutes after the engine has been stopped.

1) Open the engine hood.

2) Remove the oil level gauge from the oil level gauge guide tube.

3) Wipe off the engine oil attached to the oil level gauge.

4) Install the oil level gauge to the oil level gauge guide tube.

5) Remove the oil level gauge from the oil level gauge guide tube.

6) Check the engine oil adhering to the oil level gauge, and inspect the engine oil level.

Note

  • The oil level gauge has different oil adhesion ranges on the front and the back, and the oil level is indicated at an angle.
  • Perform the inspection at the adhesion point on the lower side between oil level gauge front and back sides.
  • Perform the oil level check at the center position of the oil level gauge width.

  • Replace or refill the engine oil as necessary.
