1. Preliminary procedures
1) Open the engine hood.
2) Disconnect the battery cable from the battery negative terminal.
Caution
- After turning OFF the ignition switch (power mode for models with passive entry and start system), do not disconnect the battery cable within 3 minutes.
- If the battery cable is disconnected within 3 minutes, the vehicle electronic control system may malfunction.
- If the battery cable is disconnected, perform the setting of the front door power window switch with AUTO UP/AUTO DOWN function after connecting the battery negative terminal.
2. Shift console cover removal
1. A/T models
1) Remove the selector lever knob from the selector lever.
Note
- Lower the selector lever boot from the selector lever knob, and pull out the clip from the bottom of the selector lever knob.

2) Remove the pads from the console box.

3) Remove the shift console cover from the console box.
4) Disconnect the connector from the shift console cover.
2. M/T models
1) Remove the shift knob from the shift lever.
2) Remove the pads from the console box.

3) Remove the shift console cover from the console box.
4) Disconnect the connector from the shift console cover.
3. Heated seat switch removal
1) Remove the heated seat switch from the shift console cover.
