2. Axle mounting bracket reassembly
1) Install the bushing to the axle mounting bracket using the special tool.
Note
- Push the bushing into the axle mounting bracket to secure.

3. Inside drive shaft reassembly
1) Install the inside drive shaft to axle mounting bracket.
2) Install the following parts to the inside drive shaft.
- Oil seal
- Snap ring
- Bearing
- Snap ring
Caution
- Do not reuse the snap ring.
4. Outside drive shaft reassembly
1) Apply grease to the outside drive shaft universal joint section.
Limit: 190 g { 6.70 oz }
2) Install boot B to the outside drive shaft.
Caution
- Make sure that both ends of boot B are inserted into the outside drive shaft grooves.

3) Install the dust seal to the outside drive shaft.
Caution
- Do not reuse the dust seal.
4) Install small boot band B and large boot band B to boot B.
5) Do not reuse small boot band B and large boot band B.
6) Stake small boot band B and large boot band B using the special tool.

Standard: 0.4 mm or less { 0.016 in or less }
Standard crimping amount
Dimensions
a: 1.2 to 4.0 mm { 0.05 to 0.16 in }
b: 1.2 to 4.0 mm { 0.05 to 0.16 in }
7) Install boot A to the outside drive shaft.
8) Install the ball guide to the outside drive shaft.
Note
- Face the ball guide with the smaller diameter toward the outside drive shaft, and install.
9) Install the ball retainer to the outside drive shaft.
10) Install the snap ring to the outside drive shaft using snap ring pliers.
Caution
- Do not reuse the snap ring.

11) Align the 6 balls with the ball guide window and ball retainer groove, and install the balls to the ball retainer.

12) Install small boot band A to boot A.
Caution
- Do not reuse small boot band A.
- Install small boot band A in the correct direction.
13) Stake small boot band A using the special tool.
