Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 (Front of DPD filter) installation (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 (Front of DPD filter) installation

1) Clean the old anti-seize lubricant on the sleeve nut, and apply new anti-seize lubricant to the threaded portion of the exhaust gas temperature sensor sleeve nut.

Note

  • If the exhaust gas temperature sensor is replaced with a new one, it is not necessary to apply new anti-seize lubricant.

Caution

  • Apply Never-Seez High Temperature Stainless Grade 5-87411-039-0 by Bostik of USA as the anti-seize lubricant.

2) Install Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 (front of DPD filter) to the DPD.

Tightening torque: 30 N・m { 3.1 kgf・m / 22 lb・ft }

Legend

  1. Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 (Front of DPD filter)

3) Install Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 (front of DPD filter) harness to the harness bracket.

4) Connect the connector to Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 (front of DPD filter).

2. Preliminary and post procedures

1. Post procedures

1) Connect the battery cable to the battery negative terminal.

2) Referring to the following, perform the setting of the front door power window switch with AUTO UP/AUTO DOWN function.

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9T.Glass, Windows, Mirrors front door power window switch setting".

3) Close the engine hood.
