1) Clean each part.

- In cleaning the wheel cylinder parts, make sure to use clean brake fluid.
Caution
- Do not use cleaning agents consisting of mineral oil components such as gasoline, kerosene, acetone, thinner, carbon tetrachloride, etc.
2) Inspect the rear wheel cylinder for the following.
- Wear
- Damage
- Other malfunctions

- Repair or replace if any abnormal conditions are found.
3) Inspect the wheel cylinder body for the following.
- Wear
- Corrosion
- Abrasion
- Scratches
- Rust
- Deterioration
- Other malfunctions
4) Inspect the piston for the following.
- Wear
- Corrosion
- Abrasion
- Scratches
- Rust
- Deterioration
- Other malfunctions
5) Inspect the piston cup for the following.
- Wear
- Bending
- Corrosion
- Abrasion
- Scratches
- Rust
- Deterioration
- Fatigue
- Other malfunctions
6) Inspect the return spring for the following.
- Wear
- Corrosion
- Abrasion
- Scratches
- Rust
- Deterioration
- Other malfunctions
