2. Input shaft reassembly

1) Press-fit the input shaft bearing to the input shaft using the special tool.

Note

  • Face the input shaft bearing snap ring groove toward the transmission front, and install it.
  • Use driver tool set No. 60 for the position shown in the diagram.

2) Install the input shaft snap ring to the input shaft using snap ring pliers.

Caution

  • Do not reuse the snap ring.

3) Apply gear oil to the input shaft block ring, and install it to the input shaft.

4) Apply BESCO L-2 grease or equivalent to the inner and outer circumferences of the needle bearing.

5) Install the needle bearing to the input shaft.
