Barometric pressure sensor inspection (RZ4E-TC)

1. Barometric pressure sensor inspection

1. Visual inspection

1) Inspect the barometric pressure sensor for the following.

  • Damaged sensor section
  • Dirty sensor section
  • Broken terminal
  • Bent terminal
  • Poor connection

2. Barometric pressure sensor inspection

1) Connect the scan tool to the DLC.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Check the Barometric Pressure display of a scan tool.

Note

  • Normally, the barometric pressure on the scan tool indicates a value close to the surrounding barometric pressure.
  • If there is a large difference between the barometric pressure on the scan tool and the surrounding barometric pressure, replace the barometric pressure sensor.
