1. Pre-check and visual inspection

1) Battery inspection

Check that the battery voltage is normal.
If the battery voltage is not normal, charge or replace the battery.

2) Fuse inspection

Check that the fuses are normal.
If there are any malfunctions such as a blowout, inspect and repair the cause of the blowout before replacing the fuses.

3) Ground inspection

Check that the ground point is normal.
Repair and clean the ground point if improperly installed or significantly dirty.

4) Inspection of harness and connector

Check that the harnesses and connectors are normal.
Inspect for poor connections at the connectors, failures such as worn or bent harnesses, or short circuits to other circuits in the wire inside the harness.

5) Electronic equipment inspection

Check for any interference from aftermarket electronic components such as wireless devices and lights.
Turn OFF, remove any aftermarket electronic components, etc., to ensure that there is no influence on inspections or operations.

2. On-vehicle inspection

Lock or unlock with each door lock button or key to check the operation.

Lock or unlock with the passive entry or keyless entry to check the operation.

3. Components inspection

Perform the body control system inspection. Observe the DTC with a scan tool, and go to the applicable DTC diagnosis if a DTC is set.

Inspect the BCM for malfunctions. Replace if an abnormal condition is found.

1) Door switch inspection

Open and close each door to observe the Door Switch parameter on the scan tool.

If there is a switch that does not change in accordance with the operation of opening and closing the door, inspect the applicable door switch and replace as necessary.

2) Inspection of engine hood switch

Close the engine hood and observe the BCM Engine Hood Switch parameter on the scan tool.

If Closed is not displayed, inspect the engine hood lock and replace as necessary.

3) Wireless Access Module inspection

Inspect the Wireless Access Module vehicle information individual programming setting.
Perform writing if a malfunction is found.

Check whether the following are normal.
Repair or replace if a malfunction is found.

  • Wireless Access Module
  • Electronic key or keyless entry key battery
  • Door switch
  • Engine hood switch
  • Key reminder switch (Only Mid-version)
  • All the doors are closed.
  • Other vehicle keys
  • The power mode is other than OFF or the ignition switch is in the ON position.
