1. Visual inspection (2WD (Except high ride suspension specifications))
1) Inspect the front hub for the following.
- Front hub body damage
- Other malfunctions
Note
- Replace the front hub if an abnormal condition is found.
2) Inspect the wheel pin for breakage.
Caution
- If the wheel pin is broken, replace all wheel pins and wheel nuts of that axle.
2. Visual inspection (2WD (High ride suspension specifications))
1) Inspect the front hub for the following.
- Front hub body damage
- Other malfunctions
Note
- Replace the front hub if an abnormal condition is found.
2) Inspect the wheel pin for breakage.
Caution
- If the wheel pin is broken, replace all wheel pins and wheel nuts of that axle.
3. Visual inspection (4WD)
1) Inspect the front hub for the following.
- Front hub body damage
- Other malfunctions
Note
- Replace the front hub if an abnormal condition is found.
2) Inspect the oil seal for the following.
- Wear
- Damage
- Other malfunctions
3) Inspect the hub cap for the following.
- Wear
- Damage
- Other malfunctions
4) Inspect the flange for the following.
- Wear
- Damage
- Other malfunctions
5) Inspect the wheel pin for breakage.
Caution
- If the wheel pin is broken, replace all wheel pins and wheel nuts of that axle.
4. Measurement of the disc wheel and front hub installation surfaces
1) For the disc wheel and front hub installation surfaces, measure the significant stepped wear associated with long periods of use.
Note
- Clean and remove rust, dirt, coating, etc., on the disc wheel and front hub installation surfaces.
Limit: 1.0 mm { 0.04 in }
Note
- Replace the front hub if the measured value exceeds the limit.
Caution
- Do not perform additional coating on the disc wheel and front hub installation surfaces.
