Exhaust manifold removal (4JJ3 with DPD)

Part name

Tightening torque

1: 27 N・m { 2.8 kgf・m / 20 lb・ft }

5: 25 N・m { 2.5 kgf・m / 18 lb・ft }

6: 52 N・m { 5.3 kgf・m / 38 lb・ft }

Refer to "1.Engine 1G.Exhaust(4JJ3 with DPD) DPD removal".

1) Disconnect the water hose from the water intake pipe and return hose.

2) Install the EGR water pipe to the oil cooler and turbocharger lower bracket.

1) Remove the EGR cooler bypass pipe and gasket from the exhaust manifold and inlet manifold.

1) Disconnect the connector from EGR gas temperature sensor 1 (exhaust manifold side).

2) Remove the sensor connector from the water pipe.

3) Remove EGR gas temperature sensor 1 (exhaust manifold side) from the exhaust manifold.

1) Remove the EGR gas pressure pipe from the exhaust manifold and EGR gas pressure pipe bracket.

2) Remove the EGR gas pressure pipe bracket from the cylinder head.

1) Remove the differential pressure sensor heat protector from the cylinder head.

2) Remove the exhaust manifold heat protector from the exhaust manifold.

3) Remove the exhaust manifold and gasket from the cylinder head.
