Servicing Pointers

•  Type A and B grille brackets, front bumper retainers, and radiator grilles are available depending on the vehicle’s period of manufacture.

Type A
―  The grille bracket is installed to the radiator grille using three fasteners and four rivets.

Type B
―  The grille bracket is installed to the radiator grille using two fasteners and five rivets.

•  The type A grille bracket, front bumper retainer, and radiator grille are no longer produced.
•  Because the diameter of the rivet for types A and B differs, the grille bracket, front bumper retainer, and radiator grille for type B cannot be installed to the grille bracket, front bumper retainer, and radiator grille for type A.
•  When replacing the grille bracket, front bumper retainer, and radiator grille for type A with a new one, replace as a single radiator grille component.

•  The radiator grille component consists of the following:
―  Grille bracket
―  Front bumper retainer
―  Radiator grille
―  Upper grille
―  Lower grille molding
