TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Vehicles With 6:4 Split-type Rear Seat

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Pull up the cover A in the direction the of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

4.  Remove bolt B, then remove the cargo net hooks.

5.  Remove the fastener C.

6.  Remove the cap, then remove the screw D.

7.  Hold D-pillar trim with your hands and pull the trunk side trim in the direction of the arrow (2), (3), (4), (5) and remove clips E, hooks F and pin G.

8.  Disconnect the connector. (LH: cargo room light connector, RH: rear accessory socket connector)

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Vehicles With 4:2:4 Split-type Rear Seat

Note

•  Two types of remote handle levers are available depending on the production period.

―  The remote handle lever is installed to the vehicle body using clip.

―  The remote handle lever is installed to the trunk side trim using tabs.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Pull up the cover A in the direction the of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

4.  Remove bolt B, then remove the cargo net hooks.

5.  Move hooks C in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure using a tape-lapped flathead screwdriver.

6.  Remove the cover D in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the figure.

7.  Remove the screw E.

8.  Remove the fastener F.

9.  Remove the cap, then remove the screw G.

10.  Hold D-pillar trim with your hands and pull the trunk side trim in the direction of the arrow (4), (5), (6), (7) and remove clips H, hooks I, pin J and clip K.

11.  For vehicles with the remote handle lever installed to the trunk side trim using tabs, remove the trunk side trim using the following procedure.

(1)  While pressing the edge of the D-pillar trim, hold the shaded area shown in the figure and pull the trunk side trim in the order of arrows (8), (9), (10), and (11) to remove clips L, hooks M, and pin N.

(2)  While pressing tabs O in the direction of arrow (12) shown in the figure, detach the remote handle lever in the direction of arrow (13).

12.  Set the remote handle lever out of the way.

13.  Disconnect the connector. (LH: cargo room light connector, RH: rear accessory socket connector)

14.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
