INTAKE MANIFOLD VACUUM INSPECTION [WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)]

1.  Disconnect the evaporative hose No.1 (purge solenoid valve side) and install the vacuum gauge. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)].)

2.  Verify that the intake air hoses are installed securely.

3.  Warm up the engine.

4.  Measure the intake manifold vacuum while idling (no load) using the vacuum gauge.

•  If not within the specification, perform the following inspections.
―  Compression pressure (See COMPRESSION INSPECTION [WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)].)
―  Check valve (between intake manifold and vacuum pump) (See VACUUM LINE INSPECTION [WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)].)
―  Check valve (between vacuum pump and power brake unit) (See VACUUM LINE INSPECTION [WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)].)
―  Air suction
•  Installation areas of each vacuum hose
•  Installation area of throttle body
•  Installation area of fuel injector
•  Installation area of PCV valve
•  Installation area of intake manifold
