1.  Remove the urea tank cover No.1. (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Disconnect the joint hose (urea tank side). (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Drain the AdBlue® as shown in the figure.

4.  Completely drain the remaining AdBlue® in the urea tank using a hand-operated pump.

5.  Connect the joint hose (urea tank side). (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

6.  Install the urea tank cover No.1. (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

7.  Open the fuel-filler lid.

8.  Open the urea-filler cap.

9.  Refill the AdBlue®.

10.  After replacing the AdBlue® in the urea tank, perform the following procedure so that the vehicle can detect the amount of AdBlue® in the urea tank again.

Using M-MDS
1.  Connect the negative battery terminal. (SeeNEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
3.  After the vehicle is identified, select the following item from the initial screen of the M-MDS.
1.  Select the “Powertrain”.
2.  Select the “SCR”.
3.  Select the “SCR function”.
4.  Select the “Reset for urea tank level”.
Without using M-MDS
1.  Drive the vehicle for 1.5 to 2.0 hours at 2 km/h {1 mph} or more.
