Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Disconnect the EGR cooler bypass connector.

4.  Inspect the resistance between EGR cooler bypass valve terminals A and E.

EGR cooler bypass valve resistance (specification)
1.45—2.95 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the EGR cooler bypass valve. (See EGR COOLER BYPASS VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
