Purpose, Function
• The fuel-filler cap has a valve inside the cap which opens/closes by the pressure in the fuel tank to prevent fuel tank deformation.
Construction
• The fuel-filler cap is located on the fuel-filler opening at the rear, left side of the vehicle.
• The fuel-filler cap consists of the valve, spring, and retainer.
Operation
• If there is excessive positive pressure in the fuel tank, evaporative gas is released into the atmosphere. If there is excessive negative pressure, air is introduced to the fuel tank.
