Purpose, Function
• The ejector introduces evaporative gas upstream of the dynamic pressure turbo.
• If the pressure in the intake manifold reaches positive pressure under a turbo charged condition, the intake volume of the evaporative gas is lost due to the intake manifold vacuum. To prevent the intake amount of evaporative gas from decreasing, evaporative gas is introduced upstream of the dynamic pressure turbo using the boost pressure from the dynamic pressure turbo.
Construction
• The ejector is located on the compressor wheel side of the dynamic pressure turbo.
• The ejector purge consists of the pipe and O-ring.
Operation
• The positive pressure charged by the dynamic pressure turbo is added to the ejector. At that time, negative pressure occurs around the nozzle end due to the venturi effect and evaporative gas is introduced upstream of the dynamic pressure turbo.
