Purpose/Function

•  Detects the engine oil pressure as basic information for mainly idle speed control.

•  Detects the engine oil pressure and sends it to the PCM as an engine oil pressure signal.

Construction

•  Installed on the cylinder block.

•  A semiconductor strain gauge has been adopted to the engine oil pressure sensor (as the detecting element) for detecting the engine oil pressure.

•  The engine oil pressure sensor is integrated with the engine oil temperature sensor.

Operation

•  Sends the signal, which fluctuates according to the engine oil pressure, to the PCM.
