Purpose/Function

•  The EGR temperature sensor detects the temperature of exhaust gas recirculating into the combustion chamber.

Construction

•  The EGR temperature sensor is installed in the engine compartment.

•  For the EGR temperature sensor, a thermistor has been adopted to the detection area for detecting the temperature of exhaust gas recirculating into the combustion chamber.

Operation

•  The EGR temperature sensor inputs the signal, which fluctuates according to the temperature of exhaust gas recirculating into the combustion chamber, to the PCM.
