With SCR system

Purpose, Function

•  Reduction of NOx in the exhaust gas has been achieved by optimally controlling the SCR system (such as AdBlue^® injection amount) according to the vehicle conditions.

•  Controls each output part based on a signal from each input part.

•  The controlled functions are as follows.

Functions	Content
AdBlue® injection control	The dosing control unit controls the optimum AdBlue® injection amount according to the vehicle conditions to reduce NOx.
Heater control	The dosing control unit controls the heater (urea tank, urea hose) to keep warm/defrost AdBlue® according to the surrounding environment and AdBlue® conditions.
NOx sensor activation control	The dosing control unit controls the signal from the NOx sensor.
Diesel particulate filter malfunction diagnosis	The dosing control unit performs a part of the diesel particulate filter malfunction diagnostic function.
PM sensor activation control	The dosing control unit controls the sensing function of the PM sensor.

•  The dosing control unit is installed below the driver seat.

Operation

•  If the SCR catalyst temperature exceeds 180 degrees C, the NOx sensor is activated, and NOx is detected, the AdBlue^® injection function operates according to the purification rate of the catalyst.

•  Activation of the NOx sensor and PM sensor is controlled at the timing according to the surrounding environment.
