Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	COUPLING COMPONENT CALIBRATION DATA WRITING • Write the coupling component calibration data. (See COUPLING COMPONENT CALIBRATION DATA WRITING.)		Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT THE SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT • Clear the DTCs from the memory. (See CLEARING DTC [ELECTRONIC 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM].) • Using the M-MDS, perform the 4WD control module DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [ELECTRONIC 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM].) • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the 4WD control module. (See 4WD CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT • Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRONIC 4WD CONTROL SYSTEM].)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
