POWER OUTER MIRROR SWITCH

Purpose
• The switch turns on/off in conjunction with the driver's switch operation and switches the power outer mirror angle adjustment circuit and retract/return circuit contact points.
Function
Up-down/left-right adjustment function

• The power outer mirror switch switches the contact point according to the switch operation. As a result, the circuit to the up-down/left-right adjustment motor is switched.
Left/right selection function

• The power outer mirror switch is used to select the side on which adjustment of the power outer mirror glass is desired.
Retract/Return switch (Without outer mirror automatic folding)

• The retract/return switch changes the contact point according to the switch operation. As a result, the circuit to the retract/return motor is changed.
Outer mirror automatic folding switch (With outer mirror automatic folding)

• The auto-retractable power outer mirror switch changes the contact point according to the switch operation. As a result, the circuit to the retract/return motor is changed.
Construction
• The power outer mirror switch consists of the following parts.

― Left/right selection switch
― Retract/Return switch (Without outer mirror automatic folding)
― Outer mirror automatic folding switch (With outer mirror automatic folding)
Operation
Ex: Switch is pressed in the upward direction

• By operating the power outer mirror switch, up-down/left-right contact points for the power outer mirror can be switched.
With retract/return function Type A,C (Example: adjusting left outer mirror upward)
With retract/return function Type B (Example: adjusting left outer mirror upward)
Without retract/return function (Example: adjusting left outer mirror upward)
Ex: Switched from return to retract

• By operating the power outer mirror switch, retract/return contact points for the power outer mirror can be switched.
With retract/return function Type A,C (Example: retracting outer mirrors)

1. The contact points for the power outer mirror retract/return can be changed by operating the retract/return switch.
With retract/return function Type B (Example: retracting outer mirrors)
IG OFF timer operation

• When the ignition is switched from ON (engine off or on) to OFF, the IG OFF timer function inside the power outer mirror control module is turned on and the power outer mirror switch can be operated for approx. 40 s after IG OFF is detected.
